Last weekend, I went for a walk on Omotesando street in Harajuku. I found there was a quiet residential area just one block away from the crowded busy main street.

I noticed many old houses and cheap looking apartments there.

I walked toward Meiji Shrine, but as the closing time was getting close, I turned back halfway. I found the special gate and platform in Harajuku station exclusively used for the emperor and his family.
