The supply of gas and electricity stopped.
Some Japanese people staying in Hawaii said that such shock was just the 4th stage in the Japanese seismic scale. The four-stage earthquakes happen once or twice a year in Tokyo. So Japanese people are not so nervous. On this island, 6 hours or more has passed since the earthquake, but electricity has still not restored and many people are standing in a long line in front of supermarkets or fast food restaurants for the meal. According to Hawaii local paper Honolulu Advertiser, "Hopefully, most of the tourists to Hawaii are from California and Japan, who are accustomed to earthquakes." ¡¡ |
