Another World Cup

For almost all Japanese people, the word "World Cup" would be closely associated with Soccer. However, the world American football tournament match, which is also called World Cup, has been held since the first one was held around 10 years ago.

As a matter of fact, the host country next year is Japan. In Europe, unexpectedly American football is one of the popular sports, especially in some German states, it is the next most popular sports to soccer. Many European countries have their own national teams and the last European champion was Finland team.

Surprisingly, to tell the truth, Japan is the champion of the first and the second World Cup. (US and Canada did not participate in the past games because they have pro leagues.)

It seems that the Japanese national Rugby team will never win the championship forever because the difference in physical strength between Japanese and Western people is crucial. However, the Japanese American football players make up for their physical weakness by making the most of their speed, technique and tactics.
