For Japanese people the winter solstice has a special meaning. Also, the summer solstice, the vernal equinox and the autumnal equinox have the same meanings.
But why? I told my foreign client that it was Winter Solstice Day. He asked me if I had an interest in astronomy. Japan has the four seasons and we enjoy the changes of the seasons.
