As the proverb goes, "All's well that ends well.", 「終わり良ければすべて良し」 was one of my mottoes for a very long time. I might be a person with few wants or a patient person, but if I can breathe my last smiling, it is all OK, I thought.
The other day, I heard a person's comment by accident. "if you think that All's well that ends well, why don't you do that now?" It was a bolt from the blue for me. It is very difficult to explain it concretely, but at least I found that only the end and the result are NOT all. Especially if the process is a very long way...    |
